The Nature Conservancy’s (TNC) US Natural Climate Solutions Accelerator program has just announced the second round of awardees: five innovative projects designed to develop and test approaches for reducing emissions and storing more carbon on natural and working lands in the U.S have been awarded a total of awarded a total of US$ 850,000.
The winning projects specifically target innovations to accelerate climate action in coastal wetlands, forests and agricultural lands across the United States. In the words of Catherine Macdonald, TNC’s North America Natural Climate Solutions Director: “By funding these innovative projects, we hope to kick-start promising, cost-effective nature-based climate solutions.”
